Street Pastors

Bristol Street Pastors listen, care and help people out in the city centre on a Saturday night. We work with the council and local police to offer practical help to party goers. On offer is water, flip flops, directions, a listening ear and, when necessary, seeking help from the emergency services.

Many young people have no experience of formal or informal church and we seek to show them, through our actions not our words, the love of Jesus and of other Christians.

We demonstrate God’s love in action to people where they are. We come out of our churches (we are multi denominational), and engage with the young people and those working in the night time economy. It is of practical help and a powerful witness.

How you or your church can help

We welcome applications for street pastors and prayer pastors and for a commitment of one Saturday night per month. We ask that you are a Christian and a member of a Church. Prayer pastors support us from our base or from home. Full training and support is given.
